RBM Planning Process

Vision

AsiaDHRRA envisions Asian rural communities that are just, free, prosperous, living in peace and working in solidarity towards self-reliance.

Mission

To achieve this vision, the network shall aim to be an effective…

Promoter and catalyst of partnership relations, creating opportunities for genuine people-to-people dialogue and exchange;
Facilitator of human resource development processes in the rural areas; and
Mobilizer of expertise and opportunities for the strengthening of solidarity and kinship among rural communities.

Goal

Rural communities participating in governance, contributing to and benefiting from sustained socio-economic development in Asia.

Objectives

Rural Development NGOs capable of defining and pursuing development interventions to address problems of rural poor communities especially the farmers, fishers and rural women, with special attention to the young people and with concern for the aging community.
People-oriented policies and programs on sustainable rural development, people empowerment, rural peoples’ rights (farmers, fishers, rural women, IPs) at the regional and international levels.
Asian NGO leaders with improved competency in harmonizing diverse agenda and mobilizing organizational resources and institutions towards strengthening their organizations and influencing key development policies and programs in the region
